Point taken!

Nick, since we have "God" in our midst, I think you should consider adding Old to the front of your name :laughter:

Judging by my photograph, very probably! I am routinely called Father Christmas, Santa, etc., even Messiah! Yesterday, I was called Kenny Rogers, but hey! I can live with that.

BTW, somewhere on this board, someone talked about 'real' names. It might seem picky, but I'm not in favour of that label. I regard 'Nick' as a real name.

Come to think of it, I rather envy those with a more enigmatic user name than mine....Sunbeam... Noggin....Firebrand...Moose....Curtains... etc. I couldn't think of one at the time, so stayed rather boring, but I don't think I'll change now

BORING? What d'ya mean???? Nick's a damn fine name and you should be proud to have it adorn your psyche.

Moonbeam, Sunbeam, Noggin....Firebrand...Moose....Curtains... etc. are all very nice but ... phwaw! ... they lack the jeu ne se qua, the good old down to earthiness REALITY BUZZ of Nick. Good grief - you don't think that "chance" conversation in that pub was just a little accident do you. You were renamed Nick for a purpose. Yet to be revealed to you, true, but it is important that you revere your name. Nick. Nick. Nick. What aesthetic* pleasure I get from the mere recital of that Nom de Vivat!

Goodness me. If I wasn't already called ... what was it now? Oh yes, God - well, then I would LOVE to be called Nick! Yes indeedy! Yessirree. Excellent name bar none. Gosh

Shut up you idiot. You'll give the game away!

Wheels is good too. Wheels of Fire. Wheels of Fortune. Wheels of Life. Yeah. Wheels is a good one, methinks. All his own idea, too!

*I find dipthongs enchanting!

Or is it just liquid, generally - a soaking?

Something to do (also or alternatively) with dogs?

Phew you had me worried with your first go, but now you've drifted away, there is a clue (of sorts) in my offer of reward.

Another clue Slockenin means a ********** ***** that's the right amount of letters for the two missing words.
Bear in mind my location, and see if you can find an online dictionary.
There! I've almost given you it.

Alan, I had a vey tough day and today won't be any better. I'm up for the challenge anyway!
I saw this on a another forum, and knowing that you were a dog lover who lived in Shetland, I could be forgiven for thinking there couldn't be 2 slockenins. But there you go. Namesake as well as a dug that looks like yours!
