I drove a lorry for IKEA for a while, and, having seen the inside of the place, I am flabbergasted that whole families go there for a Sunday outing! WTF???
If you could magically (sorry, fellow atheists but this is a fantasy question) if you could magically cause some little tiny change in people's attitudes or behaviour, what would you be tempted to change?

Not sure what constitutes a private members bill,
But would the abolition of sectarian schools count? I'd go for that.

Only if he did it in my house.
Doesn't it bother you more that he isn't vocal enough about his atheism and has allowed his wife to dictate their offspring's education?

Yes.
But it's not his wife who dictates the kids education, it's the priest who conducted the wedding, My wife's sister converted so as to marry a Catholic ( my oldest friend) and I know the form.
When and why did you dismiss "organised religion"?

When I was 16 (about 55 years ago) and a server (altar boy). In the vestry after a service, I told the vicar (Rev Ted Longord) that I had doubts. No, I said, not about Jesus but about God -the whole thing. He advised me to keep up the 'motions' and carry on as if nothing had changed and it might all come back. I didn't and it didn't and I never looked back.
Same question. How did you 'get a life'?

Early teens, realised that a god proclaimed by the Catholic priesthood cannot possibly be worthy of respect. Spent several unguided years blundering through the philosophy sections of various libriares and bookshops. Finally, reluctantly, at about 20 yrs old, had to conclude that god doesn't exist at all.,
Been a lot happier since.
What's the big adventure you keep intending to get around to some day?

When younger I wanted to sail around the world (in a sailing boat-not a cruise ship). I now would just love the chance to sail accross the Atlantic. Or at least sail out of sight of land. I'm begining to think I'll never actually do it now, though.

I distinctly remember this, from when I lived in Crawley when I was tiny. My friend whose name I can't remember (but we called him Morph) pointed it out to me. We were sitting near - according to him - "an field of a sheeps".
Are you good at finding lost possesions?

I am rubbish at finding things. I am always putting things in "safe places" then be unable to retrieve them. Have you looked in crazy places? I once found my purse in the fridge!!

Yeah, Skype is FUN and the best way to keep in touch online. Found my phone, by the way. It was in my dressing gown's right pocket.

Southsea sea front, wearing a red snow suit, trying to make a snowperson out of a sprinkling of snow. Perhaps that's why I now live in the frozen north?
What is the first item of clothing you remember wearing?

A pink cardigan I wore on my first day at school. I have no idea why I wasn't wearing regulation grey, but the teacher always referred to me as "the girl in the pink jumper". I think you can tell a lot about my first school by the fact that the primary one teacher didn't even bother to learn our names!
Were your school years the happiest of your life (so far)?
