In answer to your question, Jaywhat, I don't really care, but I'll choose shot-put, as they make me feel slim.

I prefer not to bother washing it at all. As I don't have a garage the rain does a reasonably good job The last time it was washed (before we went on hols in July) we used a power hose at the local garage. I paid, the youngest had fun, I was wet . Before then it was 2 years previous when the local fire brigade were having a car wash




Electric blanket or hot water bottle?

I can remember my Granny putting a pig in the bed when I stayed with her. However, more recently when we had the caravan at Dalraddy we had an electric blanket. In winter it was rather nice.

Sadly we've had no Autumn again! but have gone from Summer to Winter with nowt in between.
I gather up the leaves and compost them.

Sittting frankly and openly watching for the postman or sitting reading/fiddling on the computer etc while secretly listening for the postman.

Postman doesn't come to my door, we have an american style mail box on the gate and he deposits the mail there. They refuse to come in because of the dogs. My older dog could be a bit intimidating with strangers (when I mentioned this to the vet and said I was a bit worried that he was so very wary of people he didn't know-particularly men-she replied that she thought that was an asset given where I stay). He's old now, and isn't outside much. Just goes out to pee. The young dog is totally mental and wouldn't hurt a fly, but he makes a horrible din if anyone comes near the gate. Phew! Sorry to have gone on!
