Oh yes, about 1/3 bigger and he roamed the Americas rather than Africa.

From M's link the picture could be my Peggy.
Courageous, scrappy, fun-loving, active, clownish and fearless. The Bull Terrier is a loyal, polite, and obedient dog. They become very attached to their owners.
A very accurate description.

I obviously have a cleaner mind that you Alan because I thought Fia meant biting....

I did indeed mean biting, LL - any other reference never entered my mind, especially as I knew said dog is female :D

Work on a Sunday - good for you.
Buying petrol yesterday, told by guy in shop he was looking for a 5 day-a-week job. He went on to say that petrol stations should be closed on Sundays because Sunday was a family day. I got out as quick as I could or else I would have started on him.

Shut petrol stations on a Sunday eh?

Blasphemy! For those who worship the motorcycle at the altar of the Sunday ride out.....

Our Triumph, which art in the garage
Harleyed be thy name
Thy Victory Kinpin Come
Thy oil change will be done
On time, as it is in the handbook
Give us this day, our daily bike ride
And forgive us our dodgy overtakes
As we give the finger, to those who pull out in front of us
And lead us not into the M25
And deliver us from punctures
For thine is the scratched footpeg, the power band and the foray.
For ever, or at least unti tea time. Amen

Alan, having you go off line for so long made it feel as if you had gone away; which in some ways you had, I suppose. Funny.
With all this techno in our lives, we experience things that previous generations cannot have dreamed of; funny old world!

Got tickets to see Richard Dawkins live! I always laugh when I hear the word 'live' attached to someone speaking. I'd be rather bored watching some dead guy talk and how would he ever manage to hold a pen to autograph things?
