Thought it was time I had an avatar, and hunting for one was great displacement activity for what I should be doing....There are some really awful ones out there!

OK it's a wee bit twee, but hey, it's colourful, and reflects me quite well I think.

The crescent moon in my avatar is the holy symbol of Corellon Larethian. He's the patron god of elves in D&D, and is accepted as such in many other areas of publicly created fantasy. It's sort of ironic that I should have that here, where most of us don't believe in a god, but that's fantasy, not real life (and I use this avatar everywhere). Cael, obviously, my username. The forest is pretty self explanatory too, I've been raised in the woods, and wouldn't have it any other way.
Just call me Cael.

I decided today that I was sick of the sight of the blue fairy so I've ditched her and replaced her with a ghost.

Yes, I think the reason I am attracted to fairy and ghost avatars is because there's a kind of irony in it on a forum like this.

I think I'm going to stay with Captain Pugwash. He symbolises hesitant confusion in a nautical setting. What could be more appropriate?
