Someone sent mine to me. They thought it looked like my granddaughter, Theresa AKA "Bumpy"
I like to call her my little "Fart Faery"...which cracks her up. Guess what makes her fly. :laughter:

My avatar is great today - talk like a pirate day - being of sunset over Blackbeard Sailing Club which is named after the infamous pirste who terrorised the Carolina coast and estuaries including the Neuse River.

Thought it was time I had an avatar, and hunting for one was great displacement activity for what I should be doing....There are some really awful ones out there!

OK it's a wee bit twee, but hey, it's colourful, and reflects me quite well I think.

The crescent moon in my avatar is the holy symbol of Corellon Larethian. He's the patron god of elves in D&D, and is accepted as such in many other areas of publicly created fantasy. It's sort of ironic that I should have that here, where most of us don't believe in a god, but that's fantasy, not real life (and I use this avatar everywhere). Cael, obviously, my username. The forest is pretty self explanatory too, I've been raised in the woods, and wouldn't have it any other way.
Just call me Cael.
I love to get PMs ;)

I decided today that I was sick of the sight of the blue fairy so I've ditched her and replaced her with a ghost.

Yes, I think the reason I am attracted to fairy and ghost avatars is because there's a kind of irony in it on a forum like this.

Inspired by Maria's "themed" avatar, I thought I would go the same way.
This one should be good for about four months

I think I'm going to stay with Captain Pugwash. He symbolises hesitant confusion in a nautical setting. What could be more appropriate?

Good for you Nick, Captain Pugwash transcends the seasons anyway, he's an all year round kinda guy.

Ewe OK?

This is a photo of a Suffolk sheep - we've met a few times as I passed its field.

If you've met a few times, you should at least introduce him/her by name - we're all friends here!

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

I am not trying to take over this thread, I promise, but I have done this avatar all by my little self, Maria. Only took just over an hour. All I need now is a better picture.

He is our cat and his name is Darwin. Need I say more.

I want a drink now and I deserve one. - for myself
