Physics questions

#1 Post by Compassionist » June 28th, 2020, 7:17 am

Why does entanglement occur? Which particles are entangled and which are not? If all particles are not entangled, why are they not so? Why aren't macroscopic objects entangled? How can we make macroscopic objects entangled? How can we use entanglement for instantaneous communication across vast distances e.g. from here to Mars or Jupiter or another galaxy or another universe? Is the Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics true? What are all of the implications of it being true?

Compassionist asked: "How can we use entanglement for instantaneous communication across vast distances?"

The information is random, according Michio Kaku. "No usable information can travel faster than the speed of light."

You may find the videos by Dr Don Lincoln of Fermilab interesting, such as this one:

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Thank you for the video. You could still use quantum entanglement for security. Also, quantum teleportation is real: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb38jozeDOs

Thank you for the video. I liked it but it doesn't answer all of my questions.

Have you looked at all his others?

No, not yet. I am too busy with work and family. Internet searches reveal that no one knows what the mechanism is behind the spooky phenomenon of quantum entanglement. Just as no one knows if the Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics is true or false. We can't use quantum entanglement to communicate across vast distances and we can't make macroscopic objects entangled. May be there will be a time when we will have these answers or abilities but we don't at present.
