Re: European elections is coming...The Brexit Party is coming...
But this is interesting, isn't it, coffee?
What do you think?
Alan Henness
There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

What do you reckon, coffee? Was the Leave campaign stirring up racial hatred? Or do you think that was perfectly OK?

Vote remain and they let all the immigrants in, so don't complain why there is not enough housing, school, water, degrading the UK environment.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the stupidity and ignorance of that comment coffee. Do you have any insight as to why?coffee wrote:Vote remain and they let all the immigrants in, so don't complain why there is not enough housing, school, water, degrading the UK environment.
But what about the Leave campaign stirring up racial hatred? Perfectly acceptable in your view? Illegal use os election funds?

Vote remain and they will let ALL immigrants in taking up your jobs, benefits, schools places, housing, water, nhs, services, build more roads that degrading the UK environment, use up all the UK resources and cause climate change by their sheer number.

Re: European elections is coming...The Brexit Party is coming...
makes no sense. We do not let "all immigrants" in now, do we? And if we did, this would have no impact on climate change because moving from one country to another makes no difference to the total world population. And we have record figures of employment, so all these immigrants do not seem to be causing unemployment, do they? - they create jobs by being herecoffee wrote:Vote remain and they will let ALL immigrants in taking up your jobs, benefits, schools places, housing, water, nhs, services, build more roads that degrading the UK environment, use up all the UK resources and cause climate change by their sheer number.

Britons no longer just want to leave the EU - they want to change politics for good by smashing the two-party system, says @Nigel_Farage

EU DECEIT: Shock claim ‘clever French TRICKED Britain and used EU to SABOTAGE agriculture'
BRITAIN used to have the most efficient agricultural sector in Europe, until the “clever” French devised a Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) so “absurdly loaded in France’s favour” that the UK ended up subsidising them, journalist and author Christopher Booker shockingly claimed in a throwback report.

interesting article on preferential voting methods in relation to Brexit and its four competing options - Remain, Soft Brexit, the May Deal, and No-Deal. The consensus approach, which I guess I think fairest, is Soft Brexit

Re: European elections is coming...The Brexit Party is coming...
Several problems: it's not what many voted for, the referendum was tainted by illegality, and it's not on offer and hasn't been negotiated with the EU. But there are times when a compromise is not the best or fairest outcome.animist wrote:https://www.politics.co.uk/comment-anal ... oft-brexit

Re: European elections is coming...The Brexit Party is coming...
Soft Brexit has not been negotiated with the EU, but that does not matter - in the sense that the WIthdrawal Agreement is just that and nothing more. I do not mean that I personally want Soft Brexit - I want a referendum with the choices of the WA and Remain, but Soft Brexit does at least moderate the damage of Brexit and "honours" the Leave victoryAlan H wrote:Several problems: it's not what many voted for, the referendum was tainted by illegality, and it's not on offer and hasn't been negotiated with the EU. While you're here, coffee, can you list the countries Barclay (or his predecessor Raab, or his predecessor Davis) has lined up for a trade deal after Brexit - the ones we'll need just to replace the lost business with our EU neighbours? You know, all those easy trade deals that countries would be queuing up to sign with us?
Any idea at all? It's been three years now...
