Bravo, Monsieur animist, but the fiendish thing about this game
is that you're supposed to post a new clue when you answer the latest one! :-))

Hi.
Maybe I've not got the hang of it after all.

Anyway. You've got the message now. Everyone who reads this has got the message.

(I'm not being rude. That's another clue).

I think you've got the hang of it, it's just that it's a difficult one - for me, at any rate. I think I get the general theme of it but my brain works these things out by seeing words that can be made out of the anagram and most phrases are made up of shorter words. A twelve-letter word is in a different league but I'll return to it tomorrow (in the hope that some brainbox gets in the meantime). :)

Topic reply notification? (Not a phrase I recognise but, assuming "notification" is correct, "topic reply" (or "reply topic") is all I can get out of the rest.

Hello, People.

I'm a wee bit confused here.
Every time somebody posts to this thread I receive an email to tell me the topic
has been added to. The email heading is, "Topic reply notification . . ." -
followed by the specific Thread name.
Do you not receive the same email?

Tetenterre.
All I can say is that if you haven't seen the phrase before then your powers of descrambling
are all the more impressive! Well done, You. :-))

You only get notification emails if you are subscribed to a thread. I think the default position is to be automatically subscribed to any thread you post in but there is a personal setting you can access in your control panel that switches it off. Then you can just subscribe to individual threads if you want by ticking the box below the answer box. I must have changed my settings a long time ago because I never get the emails - I just see notifications when I come to the forum.
