I haven't watched the videos of the
Alistair McGrath v Hitchens debate yet but they've been recommended with the words that Hitchens eats McGrath for dinner.

McGrath's most incisive debating tactic is to repeatedly use the words "I feel that....." to justify what he is saying.

Interesting collection of prominent atheists taking part at the Atheist Alliance conference. Features Dennet, Ayaan Ali, Sam Harris &Co.
Hosted on Richard Dawkins site.
Some may already be aware of it but I thought I’d spread the word a little.

Let us accept that the difference between a prophet and a madman is not what they say but whether the crowd accepts the story and tells their children to believe it.

I think this was a BBC education documentary, It's broken down into six 10 minute videos here and is well worth a look, particularly any of you with bairns, you could watch it with them and maybe answer any questions they have..

As no one else has yet drawn attention to this one, I shall take it upon myself to do so.
This is the latest Pat Condell video on Youtube:
Why debate dogma?
I can't help it; I really like this guy. :-)

I didn't see this BBC documentary when it was screened, for anybody else that missed it, I would urge you to watch it now, it's an hour long, but worth giving up an hour of your life for.
BBC Special - Secret Swami - About Sai Baba
BBC special on the spiritual fraud, self proclaimed god in human form, Shri Sathya Sai Baba.
This special has a large emphasis on the allegations of pedophilia and sexual abuse against Sai Baba by some of his ex devotees. It also reveals some of his painfully obvious conjuring techniques used to show he is, indeed, a god.
I particularly like it when at 42.30 mins in, "god" has to make his escape out of a back door, when four young men with knives break into his house.

One of my Engineers in the Czech Republic is Sai Baba follower. He took 6 weeks off work a few months ago to go on a pilgrimage to India to see him. Of course, it's entirely up to him what he does in his spare time and he's a fairly good software Engineer!
One of the places he visited was
Varanasi and he sent me a very nice and unique holiday postcard from there:
Yes, those are dead bodies on the banks of the Ganges - you don't get that on Blackpool beach! Beat that!

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

You get Conservative Party Conference delegates though. Much the same thing. And the fast food outlets are doing their best to bring about the occurrence of corpses.

It takes the two Atheist presenters of the show 9 minutes, to get the caller to say what his "proof" is, when he did I nearly choked on my coffee.
A caller has proof of Creationism.
If you can't spare 9 minutes, below is his proof.

Hurrah! He's done it! It's really very simple when you think about it...No! Wait a minute! What did the guy say was his proof?

Thanks, but there is another Atheist forum I frequent where one or two posters think he's patronising and don't like him.
PS have you seen his one's on Islam? He's also very brave.
