Cryptic clues

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

I keep trying to find an anagram of "car waves", but I'm not getting anywhere, unless the answer is the name of a Polish shipyard ...

as if I would! (despite your use of Mashhad the other day - only joking) :laughter: I did wonder if you'd go this way, but it is not an anagram in fact. The clue is a lot better than it was, just think where a car might go after a crash

.

After a crash a car might go to a BREAKERS yard.

If that's right I suggest you go again, and see if anybody can solve it without
needing you to give us a supplementary version.

Looks like : MERIDIAN - anagram of I-D-R-E-A-M-I-N - and those other things too.

Can Thundril help us out with that previous clue ?

Well, what I was thinking about is -

----- Small - recess - (before ) queen - is - "game to be seen on television" which gives us :

----- S - - - - NOOK - - - - - - ER - which is a "game to be seen on television" = SNOOKER
