No, jazz doesn't come up very often. Do jazz enthusiasts have a different kind of brain ?
Are jazz enthusiasts supposed to be more intelligent than other humans ?
I don't know, why do you say this? (but yes of course we are)
Actually, I meant to ask you about my "Coolin' Off With Ulanov" Henny Penny clue, which you got - do you know the tune (which I adore) or did you google it?
I have to say that I'm not a jazz fan myself, although my wife quite likes it.
Re your Henny Penny clue, it was just a case of looking up Google for Lennie Tristano and then
checking out Wikipedia. Et voilà !
About the brain type, I think that musical preference is innate, and maybe there's a subject there for
psychologists to have a go at.
My query about intelligence was only half in jest. I know two local guys who are into jazz and they are
most definitely very intelligent men indeed.
One of them is Bill Sweeney the composer, and the other is Richard Edwards, Consultant Interventiontional
Radiologist at the local hospital, who once loaned me a bunch of modern-jazz albums in a futile attempt
to improve my musical taste.
