Yes, the "evil" amongst us have no compunction about offering violence. Be thankful the Humanism, at least, is somewhat more tolerant to dissenters.

It is not a sad or nasty world, IMHO, Compo, just a world with some nasty people. And some very good ones.

Yes, there are some very good people on Earth, as well as some very nasty ones, as well as many average ones. The non-living world is inevitably indifferent about suffering and injustice.
