No LOLing there for the suckers who are too stupid/ill to see it for what its worth! Like many other American so-called churches, just a money making scam for the few. Trouble is they are moving into the UK as well, I had a colleague who was devastated when the head of his church was imprisoned for fraud. They could not get him on the other charges, the victims refused to give evidence.

Yeah, close call between robbing your wallet and robbing your brain there though. Some do both.

I know it'snot a video, but there are some good audio-only bits as well! This link is today's "The Odd Half Hour". It's all good but at 20 minutes in there is "Songs of Praise from the Scientology Church of Harrowgate" - great.

Talking of The Hitch, here he is in great form, demolishing the spectacularly incompetent twit Shmuley Boteach (why does he shout so?). I don't know how Hitch stands the stupidity, I really don't. At one point, Boteach is asked why Jews don't prostheletise for their religion, to which he replies some total guff about Judeism valuing diversity! What!?!?!?! It's because their religion says they are the chosen race, and it's just tough on everyone else! Which is why god considerately permitted their enemies to be wiped out during their exodus from Egypt! Oy vey!

By Hitchens' nose blowing and subsequent body gestures anyone well understands the importance he attached to the Jewish speaker

A lot of people look down on nerdy bikers, I know I used to, but that sort of skill has all the qualities of the top athlete, gymnast, dancer, skier, skater . . . .

Sad item that I am, I spend time stumbling and yesterday I came across Aimee Mullins and her 12 pairs of legs on the TED website. I found her quite inspiring. What do you think, folks?

I watched that when it was first posted Lewis; as Dave said, inspirational.
I would recommend you sign up to TED talks, that way you'll get a weekly email informing you of the latest talks, some humorous, some sad, some heart-warming, but all worth watching.

Think you got that the wrong way round LF, try "Crazy people dance badly waiting for the Rapture."

I really like The Atheist Experience and the friendly, but extremely bright and decisive, presenter. If I were in Texas, I'd go and meet him for dinner, as invited. Try this video as an example :D

Further to the above, last Sunday's edition included a phone-in from the one and only Ray Comfort, AKA Banana Man. :laughter: You can find it here. Matt Dellahunty (the principal host) is awesome in his command of the marshalling of arguments.

Enjoy!
