George Gently

#1 Post by Nirvanam » October 26th, 2010, 9:23 pm

Folks, one of my favorite Brit actors Martin Shaw has a new show (I think its new)...its called George Gently...he is a detective and his characterization is a little different than the highly assertive, aggressive Judge John Deed.

Have you seen this show? Like it? Like him?

Yes, I like the prog. They are not new - some have been repeated here in the UK. Martin Shaw's character is sympathetic, whereas his younger sidekick is slightly abrasive and inexperienced.

For me, there is a nostalgia element - it is filmed in North East England and set in the 1960s.

Good or otherwise, I enjoyed watching.
