I had thought that they would only take you if you had no organs removed, but I was wrong. So unless I die of aggressive cancer or something wildly infectious that's where by bod will be off to.

I still have the forms to return to Glasgow Uni anatomy department. They told me that most of the bodies they get are very old (in age--not in time dead!), so I don't think they mind a few missing bits.

Happy things
1) I've discovered facebook (though I suspect the novelty will wear of very soon)
2) It is to be a nice a day tomorrow.
3) I just went up to my grandaughter, as she wouldn't settle. I spent a lovely 15 minutes discussing the pros and cons of pink teddy bears and wheather snowmen can fly (of course they can!!). They are so adorable when they are in their jimjams and all sleepy- even makes the memory of them having the screaming heeby jebbies because they had to wash their hands a few hours ago fade into the dim past.

My three happy things today and every day are:-

i) finding humanism because the BHA told me about ceremonies and it was through funerals that I first met Ninny who .....

ii) later came to my house for a celebrants' meeting (with others, including Val) and invited me to her place two days later for a cuppa as I had never been there ....

iii) and today, 26 July, is the day I took a funeral in Pontefract and then drove north to Ripon for the cuppa and to wish her 'Happy Birthday' and a friend who had been staying had left her a bottle of fizz pop and we had that instead of tea and I could have driven home after one glass so I had another one and that was 10 years ago.

1 I am very happy that the play I am involved in as been a success not in audience numbers as we had to compete with the world cup.
2 A new play goes up in 2 weeks and I am in it just very briefly. I have to smooch with some one 15 yrs youngerthan me while she sings you are the best thing thats happend to me, to me.
I had a really long talk with my daughter today and realised that I didnt get things to wrong when bringing her up.

1) Today was my last day at work for a fortnight.

2) The New Forest Show starts tomorrow.

3) Off to the beautiful Republic of Ireland on Saturday.

1)10 years ago I went to explore John's back garden to give him and Ninny time together.
2) They used that time to arrange a meeting
3) That they began such a wonderful love affair.

I was in a local Primary School a few weeks ago for a meeting and we had a tour of the school. In one of the classrooms, there was a hand-drawn outline of the UK mainland. It was headed 'This is England' (just above Thurso). In my Scots accent, I pointed out the two big errors in that.

I did my first motorcycle ride in rush hour traffic yesterday evening. I rode 4 major roads and survived!
I rode back over those 4 main roads at night to get home
I accomplished what I set out to do.

Beautiful thread Life! Just noticed it...wishing I noticed it sooner.

1. Wished my dad for revolving around the sun a grand 60 times, day before yesterday.
2. My dad loved the gift I gave him. He lives in a different city so I emailed him the gift. The "gift" was a link to some of the old TV shows and ads we had back when I was growing up (we had only 1 channel and that too it was on for only about 6-8 hrs a day, remember I told you?). He absolutely loved it.
3. My neighbors cat is pregnant again! I told them I am gonna keep all the kittens.

woo hoo!!!!! I remember when I was learning to ride the motorbike, I'd sneak my dad's bike out in the night and our apartment was right by the highway at the edge of the city in Pune. The first time I took it out, I froze when I saw a huge monster truck coming my way...lol!
