I see I started this off at the end of July and would like to thank people for their advice. I have kept the same phone and the same number and since November it has cost me £3.

Hmph! Bloody mobile phones, never had one, will never have one.
What is it with all this txting and shite? Wasn't the phone invented so folk could talk to each other?
If you want to msge folk you can use twitter, facebook, bebo, or forums like this, the phone should be for speaking to folk!

Modern iphones allow you to use facebook, twitter and access this very forum (they also give you google maps, GPS and a vast host of other handy applications that make life easier). Think of them as teeny tiny ultra portable computers that fit in your pocket and give you access to the world in an instant. Of course, I rarely use mine to actually speak to people - and when I do it normally doesn't work very well, but it more than makes up for it in other ways!
