Yes it can because faith is not fact based.

Religions are just tribes and tribes survive even as most do not live the theology they say they follow.

The religious are the most insecure of us and they are in their religions for fellowship and not facts.

The nice part is that 95% of those that claim to be religiously affiliated, aren't.
