Yes, 10/10! Or 15/15 :D

I'll leave it for another to post the answer, on too short a leash to think up a new one!

Rene was not in Allo Allo, but believed he could both these things at once, plus speaking in Latin

I've spent hours on this but am no closer to guessing the answer. Perhaps I could just outline my thought processes based on the clue.
Rene was in Allo, Allo - played by Gordon Kaye. One of his most popular sayings was - "You stupid woman!" I don't know what "You stupid woman" is in Latin - even Google can't help me here.
However the clue says "Rene was not in Allo Allo" (although he was) so is the clue referring to another comedy that Gordon Kaye was in - or am I barking up the wrong track completely?
"There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots." - From the film "Top Gun"

Barking up the wrong track? That's a new one on me but yes you are. I've worked it out but don't have time at the moment to come up with a new one so I'll just say that it's a different René altogether - one much more famous and much, much older.

I did think about a certain renowned architect/interior designer but he is a Rennie, often mispelt Renee.

Ah - I have it. Rene Descartes - a 17th century philosopher. He said "I think, therefore I am" - only in Latin.
I can't say the answer, because I need to think of another clue. I'd have to do that in the morning.
