Not the song title game

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

Not the song title game

#1 Post by Alan H » July 16th, 2009, 1:03 am

Can you come up with any songs where the title of the song isn't actually in the words of the song itself?

For starters, how about Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Flashdance (what a feeling) - don't think 'Flashdance' comes in the lyrics.
As for the Britsh National Anthem - say no more !

Jaywhat, the British National Anthem is actually called "God save the Queen". In which case the title is mentioned quite frequently!

Guitar, Flute and String. Moby

..although I have a feeling that naming instrumentals is not quite in the spirit of the game...

They are both titles surely and one might as likely be used as the other. As in, 'Shall we begin with the National Anthem?' or 'At the 2012 Olympics will we get the British National anthem first?' or 'I would not stand for the National Anthem.'

No, one is the title of the piece, the other is its current use. The National Anthem be altered but the song title remains the same. It's rather like saying that the 'Top of the Pops theme' is the title of the song that happens to be used.
