I suggest that you put your foot down and get the lid off this problem, Graham. Only way to solve it!

Off to Lewist's this afternoon to enjoy his wonderful chill out hospitality before and after my first outdoor wedding this year, under a huge tree by Feshie Bridge. Forecast is 70% chance of rain
Huge brolly packed, script in plastic. I'm as prepared as I can be

The wedding was fabulous thank you jaywhat. The rain held off, the sun came out and with it lovely dappled light through the tree. As soon as the bride returned to the car it chucked it down. One wag suggested that god was kind to them... cueing my polite smile.
And the post-wedding large gin & its and fabulous hospitality at Lewist's were the icing on my Saturday cake

As well as being grim up north, it's cold
What's happened to global warming?

Dunno, but I have been doing my bit adding to it by having the gas heater on most of the day! Indoors was 16.5, only two degrees warmer than out

It was very good having Fia visit at the weekend. We drank Gin & Its followed by a few bottles of very nice wine.
Come back soon, Fia!

What does a barbecue invitation offer to a boring old fart who does not eat meat or drink alcohol or enjoy company?

A nicely roasted sweetcorn cob (with veggie butter substitute), potato in watever form you want, roast parsnip, bean mix etc etc.
Wash it down with cold, not too sweet, apple juice whilst sitting in a deck chair in a quiet corner?

I visited Fia the other day along with Robin, Amandine and the wonderful Lesley, Humanist Celebrant in Strathspey.
We had an excellent day.

It's a lovely morning here in paradise. I think there was a touch of frost this morning and there were snowflakes on the plateau yesterday. Winter's not far off.

Ho hum. Dipped into the politics and got a bit cross with Nick. Which is a shame as I know he's a good human being but we'll never agree on politics or economics
