Our very own countdown thread!

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

I work in volunteer recruitment and it's a firm principle that people should not suffer a financial loss through volunteering. We pay travel at the rate of 40p per mile.

To be in charge of a potential killing machine dressed like that? The mind boggles, but she'll be OK as long as she doesn't blow her nose (eh how could she?)
Have you ever sneezed inside a full-face motorcycle helmet with the visor down whilst at motorway speeds?

Tip: Don't!

Completely agree, Lewist. I've been in posts where I have been responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, and have been on a few "courses" run by SCVO and VDS. One of the founding principals is that volunteers should never be out of pocket-you risk losing many potential volunteers that way. It is also blatently unfair.

I just installed an application on my mobile phone called Joikuspot and it turns the phone into a mobile hotspot so I can use my laptop to surf the web through the phone. Cool or what? It's not superfast but it works!

How's the reconstruction of Lewist Castle going?

A word of advice. If the contractors say "Don't mind us. You won't know we're there", it means they're not coming....

But shouldn't you have been 996,645? Due to the fact that Marian should have been 996,646.
I'm gonna go with that anyway. :D otherwise we're never going to get down.
