Hi folks! I'm back. Glasto was OK. Muddy at start & ending, but otherwise sunny.

Ken H
Speaking of rules, just try playing Mornington Crescent. So complicated an American like myself could never understand it!
Join the club Ken, I (as a UK resident) don't understand it either.

Morning, Alan! Your efforts to fathom the rules of Mornington Crescent, which are really quite simple if you put your mind to it, have evidently squeezed from your brain, the ability to subtract one from the number above.

So the number now is...

They maybe are quite simple, but without seeing them (the rules) makes it kinda difficult, I had never heard of "Morningtan Crescent" till (I think) you introduced it (last year?)

What's this slagging off heidies? Just stop it right now or you'll be sent to stand in the corner.

Anyway, morning all and welcome back after the scary hack attack on the server, and well done Alan and Maria for getting us up and running again.

New bit of excitement for me, I have bought a new set of pipes, well new to me. They are a set of Scottish smallpipes made by Ian Kinnear, one of the leading makers.

They are not new but ok, I think, and they cost much less than the new item. Also I don't have to wait ages for them to be made. I can't wait for them to arrive! I'll have to learn to use the bellows.

I think you have it, Getreal! If you got it wrong people would get riled. :laughter: Nice typo, btw!

Morning all! It's raining here in paradise but quite mild and pleasant all the same.

If you don't know the rules to any game you just play without them.
If you do know the rules you ignore them anyway.
If someone wants to correct you they may well do so.
If you wish to ignore them you can.
If you say 'if' five times or more you run out of things to say - or before.....

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating staying in EU.

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of staying in the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens will be caused by leaving EU?
3. Should the supreme court ruling on British subjects be based in UK?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

A few of us have been having a lovely time at the BHA AGM followed by a party at Paolo's house. Val's excuse is that she's been having computer problems and at least three people are on holiday abroad. Don't know about the rest of them.
