Our very own countdown thread!

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

Well, there I was, after a long day, looking forward to some vigorous intellectual conversation - got that, good it was too :) - followed by a fun but less challenging stint in Club Soda, to find it a little bereft of new posts.

Are we not feeling so frivolous these days? I would contend that a little frivolity is a healthy balance...

I came here for the same reason, Fia. I'm feeling frivolous but have nobody to play with.

Maybe a new cheddar gorge is needed?

I don't mind a wee frivol, guys, but I was tucked up and fast asleep at the time. And I slept in this morning, didn't rise till after nine. I'll soon be as bad as those rocker sons of mine, working all night and in bed till tea time.

However, I am listening to Schubert Impromptus and it's very hard to be frivolous with music like that on, especially played on the newly reinstated hifi system.

Know the feeling, Bryn, but many thanks to your bumping have enjoyable delayed gratification tonight.

Somehow that sounds a bit unsavoury  . Perhaps we do need a new cheddar gorge... will muse...

Isn't bumping up virtually every game thread gratification enough?

Well, Maria, I suppose there's a certain sense of satisfaction in it.

But enough of that. Two of the three babies have arrived. My nephew's wife gave birth to healthy twins in Boston at 10pm on Sunday US eastern time so 3.00am our time. All seems to be well both for mother Ann and babies Elizabeth and Iain.

I assume they checked to make sure there weren't any more, hiding behind the twins..... :D

Lovely news and lovely to see everyone here after a long absence. I'm afraid this is a flying visit as I live a pc-free life these days.

Do we really want to get there? It is better, surely, to travel pleasurably than to arrive? :)

Anyway, if we get there, some wag will make us start counting up the way again.

And that has no end. :sad2:
