Our very own countdown thread!

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

That's good news, Alan! I just heard on the news that Shetland is being lent salt by Orkney to help out but that only main roads are being salted in Shetland.

Yes Lewis, it's good to have nice neighbors like Orkney
I emailed a suggestion to the cooncil roads department yesterday, you know the tankers they use to sook out the drains? Why can't they go down to the marina and fill the tankers with sea water, then spray it on the roads? you're never more than 4 or 5 miles from a marina.

Oh and I found out why we had no snow plow yesterday, it went into a ditch about 6 miles to the north east of us.

That was my fault, (if it was a fault) I noticed jay hadn't posted a number, but as we're counting down the number and not the posts, I ignored jay's offering.

Well I logged in after a long shift and could have had lots to say on the serious side. But indulged in a spot of Club Soda instead. Most enjoyable I must say...

And pleased to see you took the bother of adding a splash of colour Fia, unlike some folk (one person actually) In Huddersfield, who couldn't be bothered.
If that's the end of your working week, enjoy your days off.

Oh it's a rule now, is it? Actually, I am partially colour blind and do not see why I should mess about taking three times as long to post a message just to please people , especially those who live in the sea.
:hilarity:
Seriously, though, everytime I look at a map of UK, no matter how many times I have done that, I marvel at the distance between the mainland and then Orkney and .......................................then across more water ......................................... and then Shetland
wow
How do you do it?

Morning all!

It's easy to do the colour, Jaywhat! Just highlight the numbers (or letters if you want coloured words) and then select the colour of your choice in the colour picker on the right of the screen, click on that colour and you're done!

I find it quite satisfying. :)

But that's enough of the anti Shetlander stuff! [-X After all, Alan might step off the edge of the world by mistake in a rage.

We're not really way up there jaywhat, we're in a box just to the east of Aberdeen.

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

I wouldn't say that Nick, it just means we don't get any post from south, not that that bothers me mind.
Our postwoman was supposed to fly to Glasgow for a knee operation, I don't suppose she's best pleased.
It's still hellish misty now 18.30, my friend and neighbor is hoping to fly to Edinburgh at 7.30 in the morning, she'll be lucky.
