There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Is anyone else feeling relieved that Chaddar Gorge 5 has come to a conclusion? :laughter: I fel I need a rest before Chaddar Gorge 6...

HAs anyone thought who should replace Humph on ISIHAC? My vote is for Jack Dee. He is capable , distinct from Humph, but would be ideal to extend Humph's indifference, by bemoaning his having to chair such a sorry apology for a radio programme...

Jack Dee! Spot on, Nick. Wouldn't have thought of it myself, but he does have that world-weary resignation. And he's funny.

Dear Wistle,

I might be bothered if this were a spelling thread. But it's not. It's a coounting-backwards thread. :yahbooh:

And anyway, I haven't cast any spells. :innocence:

No thanks! We've got enough! :D

I tried to move the car yesterday, but couldn't reverse it, as it is front-wheel drive. Even if I had been able to, I'd then have a hill start. We've had about a foot of snow here (Alan H will be none the wiser) as we're a relatively high up. I'm going to try to escape to the main road (about 500 yards away (Alan -> :puzzled: ) around noon.

I originally typed "We have a foot of snow here and are relatively high" :laughter: With that amount of "snow" you'd not be high, but out of your mind!

We had about six inches of snow the last time I looked. However, since we get quite a few snowfalls in the winter, the gritters and ploughs are geared up to be on the job most nights in the winter. I went out today and it was snowing quite heavily. The roads were ploughed and gritted but had a layer of slush so I took it very easy. When I returned from Aviemore the roads were little more than wet and the ploughs were clearing the margins so the roads were clear full width. I gather the road on Cairngorm was closed most of the day.
Carpe diem. Savour every moment.

What is this snow of which you speak? We had a bit in October but very little since.
Lewis, yellow is not a good colour, I had to highlight it so as to read the number.

997,817 (where's the colour option anyway?)

It was raining when I retired last night - at 7am this morning had to dig the car out and take the sheela (snow shovel) with me to clear paths to clients houses. And as usual I was amused that everyone offers a cuppa when there's snow but it's actually much warmer than it has been. Snow can seemingly bring out the nicer side of folk :)

Fia, see the grid on the right of the post box, just put your text (Or Nos) between the "colour tags" as you would do with a quote.

You can say that again, Jaywhat! It snowed all night here and now we have even more. However, for the moment I can look at it and have another cup of coffee.

It's taken 120 pages to count down 2187 numbers.

That's pretty good.
