Our very own countdown thread!

Otherwise known as the Games Room, think of this as a subforum of the social club reserved just for sociable icebreaker games. Beware - they can be addictive!

Wow! My trip to Greece next month seems very unexciting in comparison.

Hi from Chapel Hill, NC! Greece and Hong Kong sound quite exotic to me too! It's very hot here. Staying indoors in air conditioned cool for the moment. Sailing next week hopefully.

Glad you made it, Lewis!

Do you mean that hopefully you will be sailing, or you will be sailing hopefully? One of these betrays a distinct lack of confidence....

I'm spending the weekend scraping Grace Darlings bottom, "Grace Darling" being an ex lighthouse tender that a friend and neighbor restored a couple of years ago.
This is us dragging her out of the shed for the relaunch

That's me in the middle in the checked shirt (head obscured).

Twas a helluva party in the shed afterwards

On, mussels and barnacles Diane, if they are not scraped off they slow the boat down to a crawl.

Have a great one Jem and enjoy yourself. I am completely in countdown mode. Second last day at work.
Off to see my boy play in a School 'Battle of the Bands' tonight which should be fun.

Crete. We had a family holiday there when I was a kid and and I've always wanted to go again with my own family.

When you folk start talking about holls I never know what to say, I never have any
Not really sad, it's my choice not to have holidays, am I strange?
I would quite like to go to the Canadian "Rockies" but can't muster enough enthusiasm. Ah well.........some day......maybe.

I think I understand your apathy, Alan, I sometimes feel the same. But when I do finally get it together and go somewhere, I al always really pleased I did and often feel very rejuvenated as a result.

When we lived in Cumberland (Cumbria :cross: ) We always took our holidays in the Western Isles, or the Hebrides, now that we live in Shetland I don't feel the need to go anywhere else, (Mary does, and she does)
I like the peace and quiet of a rural Island location.

I have similar feelings about Amsterdam, Alan. Now that I'm here, I don't want to leave.

Millions of bikes, though. Have you seen the multi-storey bike-park at the train station?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?
