Anthem for Doomed Youth? Not by Owen, Wilfred!

#1 Post by pantodragon » February 10th, 2014, 4:42 pm

The following rap was sung (in the film Fern Gully) by a bat who had escaped from a laboratory. Replace ‘bat’ with ‘human’ and ‘laboratory’ with ‘school’ and it seems to me you have the perfect anthem for those who have been subjected to the western education system.

Yo - The name is Batty
The logic is erratic
Potato in a jacket
Toys in the attic
I rock and I ramble
- My brain is scrambled
Rap like an animal
But I'm a mammal

I been brain-fired - electrified
Infected and injectified...
...Vivisectified... and fed pesticide!
My face is all cut-up
'cos my radar's all shot-up
Nuurse! I need a checkup from the neck-up
I'm batty...

They used and abused me
Battered and bruised me
Red wires - green wires
Stuck 'em right through me
So hear my batty word
Exercise a little prudence
When dealing with humans

Anyone beg to differ?
