Sadly, I suspect you're right.

Lies will continue to hold sway even in the face of inconvenient facts.

Politicians will still proudly parade their ignorance.

Newspaper headlines will still misrepresent the body text (and Betteridge's Law will continually to apply)... The list is endless.
