Back in the world of the living
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would say a quick hello to everyone as I have not been on the forum for quite a while. I was having a mad final year at uni and starting a new job, so parts of my online life were basically put on hold. However, the studying is finally over and I graduated a few weeks ago...Woohoo!
Going to have a good long scan around all the topics to see what i have been missing. Hope everyone is well!

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Re: Back in the world of the living
Thanks all.
Pleased to meet you getreal
Not much news Nick, it's all been study, study, study for me this past year :(
I've started a new job Alan. Working at John Dewar & Sons in the east end of Glasgow. I'm in the Spirit Quality Analysis lab where I analyse the sensory and chemical properties of their whiskies. it's a dirty job but someone has to do it.

Yeah! Yeah! "Spirit Quality Analysis"? Analysing the 'sensory' properties of whiskies. We all know exactly what you mean.Chineapple punk wrote:I've started a new job Alan. Hee hee. Honestly, I'm only allowed to nose it. Strictly no tasting!

Welcome back and congratulations!
Sounds like a great job you've got there... it'd be better if you could taste though!

Hello! I'm relatively new, so we haven't met - pleased to meet you!
Ardbeg for me, by the way. Cheers!
Now you're sure that this isn't some undercover religious job? How does the Christians' "Holy" spirit measure up against others?Chineapple punk wrote:I'm in the Spirit Quality Analysis lab

Re: Back in the world of the living
I have very fond memories of the youth hostel at Ardbeg.
I wonder if it still exsists.
I had no idea there was a whisky named after a youth hostel!

Re: Back in the world of the living
A belated welcome back from me, CP.
Congrats on degree and job. Now that you're back in the world, I hope you might get along to a Brights meeting sometime and report back to us. They're one of the very few things I miss about living in Glasgow.

Pleased to meet you Hundovir. We get new-make spirit in from Ardbeg occasionally, but it's about 70% ABV at that point, you wouldn't like it.............on second thoughtsHundovir wrote : Hello! I'm relatively new, so we haven't met - pleased to meet you!

Hi CP! Good to see you back on the forum.
I've not been here much recently as work is completely mental just now, but it's good to see you back and I'll just take the opportunity to say hi to everyone, but bear with me as I may disappear again for a few months.
But as Arnie says "I'll be back"
