It looks very convincing until the landing. That looks fake.

It is a fake. There are various additional items on YouTube pointing out the flaws. There are two separate planes involved, and a lot of image manipulation.

In my experience a lot of this type of video on YouTube is fake.

Real or not, it scared the bejeebus out of me!

I would think for anyone with a little knowledge of the appropriate physics would be able to tell us straight away if the loss of a wing would render a plane, even a stunt plane unflyable. Sadly, I'm not that person.
