Watched BGTT tonight on BBC1. There was a very elegant explanation by Dawkins as to how the eye, long suggested by some as being too complex to have occured through evolutionary process, evolved in around 400,000 generations. In terms of the marine animals described that would have been less than 1/2 million years. In terms of of the age of the Earth being 45 mega centuries that's a "blink of an eye" as they described it.

It was very good - and I enjoy the programme immensely.
Dawkings and the 'eye' explanation was the best I have come across and well worth swotting up on to refute the argument that the eye is so complex that it must have been 'designed'.
