edited to apologise that I can't seem to get a pdf to appear without clicking. Sorry, couldn't export it any other way...
Sorry, pdfs don't display - they're not pictures. But LL has solved the problem!

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

The guy with the Ohio christians placard is wearing a facial expression that looks as though he actually thinks he knows what the sign means. Or is that just a random photo snapped while he was thinking about something?

Not sure if "thinking", with its intellectual connotations, goes into any sentence about people like that. Except if used in the negative, with "un" or "not" before it, of course.

The expression would have matched a placard that read 'constipated since birth'.

:D

This is going to sound so stupid but what on earth does this "atheists in foxholes" thing actually mean? :puzzled:

Well, it's the assertion that, when you are in a foxhole (ie taking cover in the heat of battle), you will be praying to God to save you. Quite why you would not be cussing God for creating such a godawful, disfunctional world I don't know.....

Oh, I see! Simple. Thanks.

And as for the assertion itself . . . that is what THEY think.

That's easy, Nick. It's because there is no such thing as 'god'. You would be wasting time and energy that might be better used staying alive. I thought you knew that. [-X

If one can equate suffering from a heart attack that is just a tad short of fatal (and this was obvious from what was happening and being said) to a "fox hole" it did not convert me - I was too interested in the happenings and techniques being used(once the pain was relieved!) But, that's a "born technician" for you . . . :laughter:

There used to be an organisation that supported atheist soldiers in the US, but that seems to have been disbanded.
