Re: Talk to Yourself
Well I am a bit happier now that our washing machine is sorted out. The man from Comet came and fixed it, all it was was a blockage in the pipe, now it will dry the clothes I hope. Still not got the oven sorted out though, door broken off and not sure how it can be fixed or if we just have to get a ...

Re: Why are some thoughtful people vegetarian and others not?
Nick, I live close by Bushy Park, in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, and they do cull the deer there and in Richmond Park of course. I have written to my MP about this, he is useless. The MP representing the other end of the borough is against the deer culling so I am hoping she is pushi...

Re: Why are some thoughtful people vegetarian and others not?
Alan when I say in most cases I do mean this to include an objection to deliberate killing of animals for food as well as factory farming, I think you know that this is my opinion and I hope I will never be in a position where I feel I have to eat meat again or another animal product since it all in...

Re: Why are some thoughtful people vegetarian and others not?
I don't consider it thoughtless necessarily, maybe thoughtless is the wrong word, it just seems to me that most people regard animals very differently from the way the few of us who are vegetarian or vegan see them. It seems to me more like a difference in perception of the world and other species. ...

Re: Should parents have the right to refuse vaccinations...
It seems odd to me that someone here would vote "depends" even having ensured that they themselves had exercised an informed choice on vaccination. Why would one want to have the choice for themselves but then not be absolutely sure that other parents should be permitted the same choice? Did you not...

Re: Why are some thoughtful people vegetarian and others not?
Paolo, I don't think eating animals that have died naturally is wrong, but then that's the way I would feel about eating humans if it came down to it. It's not the eating I object to, it's the cruelty and killing, so under some circumstances I would not have an ethical objection to people being cann...
