Re: Humility (and other religion-related jokes)
God and his personal assistant are talking about where God should go on holiday this year. "What about Mercury?" asks the PA. "Nah," says God. "Way too hot." "Hmmmm . . . They're doing a cheap deal on Mars." "Nah. Too dry and dusty." "Well, what about Earth?" "You gotta be joking," says God. "I knoc...

Re: Fundies say the darndest things
I've been coming across rather a lot of these lately (since joining http://answers.yahoo.com) and I have been feeling nostalgic for the late, great Allan Glen who died at the tragically young age of 20 from cystic fibrosis. Allan made a website FSTDT , which is still going strong, dedicated to the ...

Re: Fundies say the darndest things
A family friend told me this one over 10 years ago before I had a clue what to do with the Internet, so I don't know what website it's from - but I've never forgotten it: "Is it OK to fart in bed?" "It is OK to fart in bed as long as you do so in the light of the Lord." :hilarity: :hilarity: :hilari...

Re: Humility (and other religion-related jokes)
A woman goes to confession. She says: "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. Last night my boyfriend made love to me seven times." The priest replies: "My child, you must go home and suck the juice from seven lemons." "Will that absolve me?" "No, but it might take that smug look off your face." Tony ...

Re: Is the universe really that big?
OK, an ultra stupid question coming up... We know from our astro-scientists that the universe is extremely vast. There are billions and billions of stars, galaxies, etc. These objects are so far that the time taken for the light from our nearest neighboring galaxy itself is at least 2 million years...
