On the BHA website today there is a report on more of the Pontiffs' odious offerings. There is also a link to a Facebook protest group.

Re: I'm not an 'Other', I'm a free man!

A friend of mine (who is a Pagan) was so annoyed by these questions that he went to his firms HR department and demanded to know why only "mainstream" faiths were included. He suggested that other, less well known relgious options, ought to be included. He finished off by saying "As a Druid I curren...

Alan,
Best of luck with the new family member. It is great to hear some good news in what often is a rotten world.

Re: General election

Well seeing as we are talking about our own little policy ideas here are mine. (Note that I write as a dog lover but also as someone who works in animal welfare). I would like to see the re-introduction of the dog licence and I would like it linked to a sort of doggie MOT. I would like the fee set a...

Re: Being Human

Did you see the dog one? Pretty amazing! Some scientists are now saying that dogs are more inteligent than chimps Having worked with dogs all of my life I do not doubt this for a minute. That said, it does seem to vary from breed to breed. Overall though, dogs are far more intelligent than we give ...

Re: Halal food

Bearing in mind that an election looms, folk who are passionate about animal welfare might be interested to know that two parties, UKIP & The Greens, have pledged to deal with this issue. No other party has.

Coffee,
If you are on facebook you might also like to search for CARE(UK) and Compassion in World Farming. Both have very strong policies on this revoltingly barbaric practice as does the RSPCA.

Re: What charities do you donate to?

I donate to animal charities as animals are, and have always been, an important part of both my working and domestic life. I also do voluntary work for one of those organisations.
