Re: The Glass Ceiling (Please delete double post)

Yes, I agree. I hate the way that nowadays "feminism" or "feminist" seem to be often used as pejorative terms. I feel that there are generations of young people being brought up seeing a type of semi-equality, and therefore wondering what women have to complain about. Maybe the attitudes of society ...

The Glass Ceiling

Did anyone see the section on The Glass Ceiling, featuring Michelle Mone (creator of Ultimo underwear) discussing the subject in the studio? My question is WHY DO THEY INVITE STUPID PEOPLE ON TO COMMENT ON REALLY IMPORTANT ISSUES? During all the usual questions on why women are still missing out on ...

When I google me name (Mary McCusker) it's an obscure american actress who was in a couple of the old Star Trek episodes, that comes up.

Re: Big Brother then

Totally agree. I hope Rachel stays - I think it's outrageous that she's up for eviction instead of Rex or Nicole. I know she's a bit dull but she such a nice person who's done nothing to hurt anyone. Yes! The right decision was made last night. I thought Mikey's rant about "luxury budgets.....choco...

It was really a topless star jumps incident. She wasn't completely in the buff but some people were trying to persuade her to make it so.

Re: Big Brother then

Have been watching it on and off. Not really bothered who goes, but I think it will probably be Rebecca. Did you see the naked star jump incident? I thought it made for very uncomfortable viewing. I know she is an exhibitionist like all BB contestants, but the way in which some of the guys were chee...

Bloody hell, if he did say that, he deserves to be removed. Pretty stupid comment to make considering all the previous shenanigans on BB.

Ok. I'll admit that I have been watching BB but only because I know someone who is in it. Mickey and my other half are colleagues. They both work at The Royal National Institute of the Blind in Glasgow.

Re: Adults hitting children

I very much agree with Ninny. Sad to say but there are certain adults who seem to get a kick out of hitting/smacking children. I am absolutely against smacking kids but I can appreciate that in certain situations, i.e, when a child is in danger, that a slap or pull may be an instinctual reaction fro...

Re: Are you a domestic god(ess)?

I don't cook very often. It's not that I'm bad, just that I tend to use every, pot, plate and utensil in the flat, hence creating a mountain of washing up. Think i'm about 6 out of 10 for cooking and 8/10 for cleaning (I love hoovering!?) My partner is a v good cook and makes a mean veggie spag bol.
