Walrus

Mine would be between Something because I find it very romantic and She Loves You for its incredible energy.

Re: In an Ideal World... Paradise for Humanists

To me paradise for humanists would be to discover an identical twin of this planet sharing the same orbit but exactly opposite (so it's always the other side of the sun) so that could go and live there and leave this planet to the nutters.

Re: Complementary therapies

I was directed to this website by a link in one of the NSS articles. What's the harm? A site called What’s the Harm? has collected together thousands of stories of what happens when people suspend critical thinking. It makes fascinating reading. useful debunker of some of the weirder stuff we get h...

Re: Should parents have the right to refuse...

No gcb, and as I say I am getting very fed up with your general attitude, compared to most of the other people here who support vaccination. I've been trying to find out of there are circumstances in which the so called "informed choice" group would vaccinate and the answers from this thread sugges...

Re: The UK is in moral decline

What is the connection between 'moral decline' (whatever that is) and preferring one's own company, or not taking in alcohol, or not doing everything with the neighbours, or not joining groups or not liking barbecues, or not being in any way sociable. Is all that immoral? Are people who live like t...

Re: Should parents have the right to refuse...

I would be very worried if my daughter was to want that HPV vaccine, although at some point it would be her choice (not yet as she is only 12 and we would definitely not be allowing it anytime soon). Several cases of paralysis have resulted and some young women have died from it. It is far from saf...

Re: ID Cards

Your question is implicitly answered in your first paragraph. The New Labour leadership wants to keep - archetypically - the Daily Mail on side. Indeed. They have been clinging so desperately to the Daily Mail for years now that they fail to see that DM readers won't vote for them anyway and their ...

Re: ID Cards

Does/did anyone else think that perhaps the government were proposing ID cards as a means to placate the masses worried about terrorism? I.e. it was not actually supposed to "do anything" but just be a visible symbol of the "fight against terror"? The reason I suggest this is because as far as I'm ...
