Re: Coffee or tea?

Neither. I really can't stand drunks. Men either get leery or abusive and wimmen just get bitchy and abusive. And ALL of them get really boring.* * This is, of course, when I am sober. Obviously when I am also drunk, the very same people are undoubtedly hilarious. In which case though, I would proba...

Re: Interview the person below you.

Can I be really 'pop-culture' and say Baz Luhrman's Romeo and Juliet? *ducks* I just loved it even though it had Leonardo Di Crapio in it. The start of the film with the pumpin' music and the stand off between the Montagues and Capulets at the Petrol Station is just awesome! I have just been in work...

Re: An expensive row?

I am actually quite disappointed as my MP (Ming Campbell) was mentioned for claiming ridiculous amounts of money for Interior Design. I honestly thought that he was better than that. Whether it will stop me voting for him at the next election or not, I don't know. He must be due for retiral soon any...

Re: Creating a website

Dreamweaver is good Nick - it's fairly intuitive and even I managed to have a half decent site after a few hours of playing. We 'did it' as part of our course in Computer Science so if you want, you can download a trial of the software and try it out. I can send you some tutorial stuff if you want? ...

Re: TV's The Apprentice

Bump. Because of this thread, I started watching the programme for the first time this year and I'm already addicted, damn you! Ditto and it's not good! Very huffy boyfriend did not understand why I just had to watch talking pirate parrot v pants man and to be honest - neither did I, but I did!! I ...

Re: Films

I must admit that I really liked Gattaca when I saw it and I didn't really get any overt Catholic inferences from it. Mind you, I was probably just gawping at Jude Law too much. mmmmmmmmm I watched a film called "Einstein and Eddington" the other night which was quite good. Nothing amazing, but a ni...

Re: Our very own countdown thread!

997 , 519 Hi all! Fleeting visit as things are a bit mayhemy at the Uni. Got six members of staff off sick at the moment in my department so we are struggling a wee bit. Managed to make it to my lecture last night though, but have decided that I am definitely having a year off next year and go back...

I swear that I once had a little tube of something like bonjela or germolene (it wasn't that, but it was something like it) that said on the instructions

"Do not apply directly to brain"

997,618 Nice one Nick. We (well when I say 'we' I mean my lovely bloke who is just dead good this kind of thing) managed to get us $60 each back from the travel rep who organised a terrible trip to Petra when we were in Egypt last October. I must admit I thought he had no chance, the Egyptian bus dr...

What is now called Absolute Radio (used to be Virgin). Totally fantastic, no repeats all day during work hours and great mixture of music. If I am really stressed out, I might change it to Classic FM, but that hasn't happened in a while. But year-end is looming......... Felicia wrote: so I'm bridgel...

997,650 Ach you ol' fuddy duddy Nick! I work long enough hours here sometimes so the LAST thing I want to do w...

That's a real shame Alan, there's just not enough teachers like that around now..... Anyway, my favourite colour is GREEN I think it is because it is such a natural colour (I love forests and trees etc), but maybe it's cos I support the SELLICK!! (Or "Glasgow Celtic" to you more refined people.........
