Re: Dogs are cruel, Cats are cool
How unusual to get a ginger female DSH, Hippolyta. She looks delightful. Yes, the vets have told me it is a male-linked colour pattern, and the calico colour pattern is female-linked. I didn't learn that until after I adopted her. I just thought she was sweet. When I went to the shelter to look at ...

Re: Dogs are cruel, Cats are cool
She is quite little. She was tiny when I got her, and grew up tiny. I wish I had a picture for perspective:

Re: Dogs are cruel, Cats are cool
I do like dogs, but I am not allowed to have them in my apartment complex. With permission, we are allowed small dogs, but I am very partial to large dogs. Cats are such unusual creatures, and quite fun to live with. One time, I came home and left a paper bag and some mail on a chair. I took the con...

Re: Do you ever go to church?
Can't remember what I voted but I do not go at all - except when I really have to, BUT recently we may have been seen coming out of the parish church crypt in Huddersfield where there is decent restaurant called The Keys. I told my mother we went there and did not say grace, just to wind her up. Sh...

My user name? Check out the wikipedia page Specifically...
Specifically in reference to Hippolyta in "A Midsummer Night's Dream"...
In the Elizabethan age in which women are dependent on men, Hippolyta comes from a tribe of incredibly strong empowered women.

Re: Do you ever go to church?
I enjoy going to churches, and other various places of worship as a learning experience... I enjoy learning about what various religions believe. I also think I can learn a great deal about the culture from which the religion originated. Most are welcoming to visitors, if I don't like the atmosphere...

Re: Omnivores or Herbavores?
I have no doubt that I, personally am *not* a natural omnivore. I vomit if I try to digest meat or milk  (wow, there's even an emoticon for that) It's not something that developed from not eating meat...it started when I was a child, and only got better when meat was taken out of the equation.

Re: Interview the person below you.
I don't have recurring dreams, no. But I'm sort of strange when it comes to dreams...I have lucid dreams...Once I am aware I am dreaming I can control myself in my dream state, wake myself at will, and if I wake from a dream I can go back to sleep again and continue it. I have no idea why, my brain ...
