Re: In Reason We Trust

Your god started it. Why is he/she so obsessed with sex and what consenting adults do in private? Is he/she a voyeur? In light of the Humanist consequences we see in Society today from sexual consenting adults (and minors) , what would be your guess as to why God gave strict loving moral sexual man...

Re: Why shouldn't human remains be raffle prizes?

I checked out this site , http://iheu.org/oxford-declaration-on-freedom-of-thought-and-expression/ , and it has the same affirmations as the Humanist Manifestos do except the Humanist Manifestos (1 and 2) go a bit deeper and covers worldview and origins and highlights the pseudo-science of Evolution...

Re: Why shouldn't human remains be raffle prizes?

d. Are you a mainstream Humanist ? What's one of those? Humanists rarely meet up, although local groups do arrange lectures and the like. I go occasionally, usually because the speaker or their subject is of interest. But someone once described trying to get a group of humanists together is like tr...

Re: In Reason We Trust

Thanks , but, aren't you the same Guy who took an interest in my genitilia on another thread ? I don't think I want any personal advice from such an Individual ! Do you have a problem with your 'genitilia' "Dave"? Do you want to talk about it, I could start by telling you how to spell it correctly....

Re: In Reason We Trust

"Dave" is English a second language for you by any chance? Or did you miss sentence construction and grammar at school? Personal defamation as this violates Forum rules . Re: Why shouldn't human remains be raffle prizes?

Why is it nearly ALL creationists claim that they used to be an atheist, a humanist or some other form of non-believer? But they have 'seen the light' Because they got saved from their lifestyle sins which a Humanism culture promotes . Yes, they saw the light of their misdeeds, immorality, rebellio...

b. I would consider 'blah, blah blah' very disrespectful and shows a profound disinterest in the subject matter at hand which includes your actual Faith of Humanism. Alan, "Dave" must be taking the piss, no-one could be as thick as he seems to be! Oh yes they can! "Dave" is English a second languag...

It seems you are unable or unwilling to even be polite. I have asked you - politely - now on several occasions to please check your quote tags. They really are very simple and help people's understanding of what you are trying to say. If you really want to engage with others here, please take heed....

Re: Why shouldn't human remains be raffle prizes?

I see you've not actually learned anything about humanism. Ive learned ALOT about Humanism. I used to be a Humanist . I understand Humanism not only from a worldview/origins view , but also the consequences that occur in any society that is based on Humanist sociological principles . I believe you ...

Today though, our Culture is squarely based on Humanist thought and behavior rendering it morally deplorable at every turn because of the primary thrust of Humanism : Man pleasing himself anyway he chooses instead of living based...

Re: In Reason We Trust

[quote="animist" First of all, reason and logic are not animate any more than they are inanimate; if God gives us reason, why do different people reason in different ways? Why can animals as well as humans reason to some extent - are they made in God's image? Chemicals do react, yes, but that does n...

logically cannot ever occur like human personality coming from rocks, planets, and hydrogen gas. Jesus wept! Now I know you're lying when you claim to have read Dawkins.
