Re: Do you/could you have a religious partner?

I just started seeing someone who is vaguely a Christian but am not sure how commited he is to it really. Certainly, it does not seem to bother him that I am not and that's all that matters to me really :D. I don't think I could see someone who was a real fundamentalist or anything.

Re: Going to try again

I find it difficult to follow a veggie diet for much the same reason, ie I really DO like the taste and smell of meat. But I feel also that .. I dunno how to phrase it. It's not that I think that it's 'wrong' to eat meat because I think that we're naturally omnivores but at the same time I do feel a...

Re: What is your home page set to?

I've never had mine set to anything as I used to share a computer and did not want anyone nosing about in what forums I used but actually, it's a good idea and now i am living alone I will set one I think :D

The Co-op is great for Fairtrade stuff .. I've been really impressed by them. Whilst TEsco et al make a big deal about having the occasional 'FairTrade' week, the Co-op try to sell fair trade products all the time and seem to have a huge amount on offer.

Re: I am gonna grow my own

Thank you for the advice :) although the weather is still shitty here - it's the North, the weather is ALWAYS shitty - I am making some preperations for getting started, namely visiting my parents and nicking their gardening tools *grins*

Re: Agnostic website rubbish

Am I the only agnostic here? :) Surely not. I haven't visited the site yet as if I open one more window my computer will go into meltdown but I am interested enough, despite thread criticism, to go and have a look later on.

Re: I am gonna grow my own

Heh well a taxi driver who used to live up here told me that it was okay to grow stuff now .. am just going on that ;).

My ex and I tried to grow caulis in gro-bags once. They went really weird .. just like big white flowers or something. Not cauliflowers.

I met one of the long term boyfriends that I have had at university and the other on the internet. I split with both of them but still have nothing against either method ;)

Re: Xmas dinner

Yes. I absolutely loathe sprouts but I force myself to have one every Xmas day. I dunno why - it's become a sort of ritual.

Re: I am gonna grow my own

Heh i did notice the typo once I'd posted but I figured I'd let some get a gag in *grins* Where I live - Alan C will know about this - there used to be a really big soap powder factory so for years it was pretty impossible to grow anything, or so a taxi driver told me. The soap powder factory closed...

Re: Xmas dinner

I had turkey with mashed potato, carrots, a sprout and cauliflower. Prawn salad for starter. None of it was with butter or dressing as am on a diet. I actually think that it wouldn't be too hard to do a veggie Xmas dinner that even my family would like .. turkey is normally dry and boring anyway and...

I am gonna grow my own

I think we have another thread on this somewhere but not recently so here is a new one :).I recently - well two months ago - moved into a house which actually has a garden big enough for me to have a small vegetable patch .. maybe not out front, but certainly in back. I've never really tried to grow...

Anyone remember Quake?

I am trying to organise a Quake deathmatch tournament .. would anyone be interested? The game is now shareware and so is easy to download, tho you might also have to download a patch to make it compatible with whatever version of windows you are running (first time I played it, I seem to recall we ...

Re: May I start a swede appreciation thread?

Hehe I can just hear that accent :)

My mum asked if we wanted ruderbaygers (swedes) for Xmas dinner but I regretfully declined on the grounds that I am on a diet and that I like my ruderbaygers mashed with lots of butter.
