How do you think it turns out in real life? There is your answer.
Sorry - don't understand that answer.

Look, some people are just trash; others are treasures. Some people you can only restrain, others ignore, others encourage, others build up, others engage with. It all depends on the individuals and the causes. But indeed, it is all about (for me) acheiving a realization of a good potential. Proble...

This is like saying 'I read the Sun so I've now got a sufficient grasp of economics and geo-politics to make constructive comment'. I just had my attention drawn to this being an analogy. Or an attempt at one at least. Although I don't see there is an analogy. I don't get the comparison of RD with ...

But there again if you did you could end up being the smartarse who is elected and you could be pishing over all our freedoms. Seeing as you're half way there already. All you need are the books. But why ever would I want to pish over anyone's freedoms? Just because I criticise the indulgences of o...

Here's one Phaedo suggested I should read. No chance obviously, but someone might find it interesting: 'The Jesus Mysteries' by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy where they present a compelling scenario that the available evidence points to there having been no such person as Jesus. He was a fictional c...

I guess using the term "Aggressive humanism" could point to Humanist fundamentalism . I've certainly met Atheist fundamentalists in my time. Sorry, don't get your point. "Aggressive humanism" was used by Phaedo. I was quoting him in my OP. He's the one complaining about people like Dawkins (and, by...

I see a brilliant business opportunity looming. Placebo "live forever pills". £1,000 each. People who take 'em don't live forever, what they gonna do? Sue? They can't - they're dead!

Correction: £10,000 each.

Knock 'em out as a multi-level marketing plan.
