Re: Violante' White witch x)0(

Desperate and witch are words often found together...for one reason or another. Personally I find this stuff every bit as dangerous as the mainstream religions. Were they as organised as the churches we would hear a lot more from these types. We had a self described witch haul up around here once. S...

Re: Violante' White witch x)0(

Violante is a fairly common first and/or surname in Italian. Sherry flogs 'spells' for twenty quid a pop on Ebay:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spells-just-ask-help-you-xxxx-/400260951947?pt=UK_Metaphysical_New_Age&hash=item5d31696f8b Coincidentally, her Ebay page has exactly the same text as her post ...

Re: Violante' White witch x)0(

From the Urban Dictionary:- "The same as eclectic, but an acceptable pronounciation for people who have trouble saying eclectic." I have no problem with those with speech difficulties, or those with spelling difficulties, for that matter. I don't go much on those who profess magical abilities though.

Re: Violante' White witch x)0(

Hi Sherry. I found this comment by you on a wicanist/paganite website:- "Lets help those drifting between worlds to find their PEACE& in so doing find a little our selves". Could you please explain what it is to be 'drifting between worlds'? And paerhaps you would tell us how you 'help' these people?

Re: Violante' White witch x)0(

Im an Ecleptic witch who sees the sacred within the physical, the magical in the mundane, and uses this knowledge to incorporate spiritual practice into her everyday life. The way of the Hearth Witch is an uncomplicated, direct form of magic, deceptively simple and unspeakably profound. She draws h...

Re: Explain your avatar

Trojan, as many of you probably already know, was a record label responsable for bringing some seriously cool music from Jamaica to the UK. I've liked the music - and the logo - since I was a child.

Re: Is the UK the only western nation to teach evolution?

Thankyou for the steers and tips. Suitably armed with evidence, I'll explain to my mate the facts.

From a personal standpoint it's interesting to read the popes view on this. I'll enjoy showing my mate where his beliefs differ from his boss's!

Is the UK the only western nation to teach evolution?

My Catholic mate mocked the Darwin fish on my car yesterday, saying that no other western nation believes in or teaches evolution. :hilarity:

I'm pretty sure he's talking rubbish but if someone could point me towards the facts I'd be grateful...though I suspect my mate wont be!

Re: Druidry granted charitable status.

I haven't come across any new agers with bigoted views about sex/sexuality. Not that they mayn't exist. There are those more...erm...'fruity' sorts who practice sex magic, of course :hilarity: Taigs seeking to reinter Newman? I can kind of see why they might want to. But interfering with genuine res...

Re: Druidry granted charitable status.

Strangely perhaps, I have more of a problem with these sort of new age 'faiths' than the traditional ones. And it's matters such as these reburials and their interference in archaological digs that bug me. I'd rather they didn't just make up a load of old tosh and claim it as 'sacred' but that's the...

Thanks, Lewist. I'm sorry I missed that one.
I find the whole 'new age'/'neo pagan'/wicca business troubling. I once had the dubious privilige of meeting Arthur Pendragon and found him rather disturbing.

Druidry granted charitable status.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11457795

Thought I might see some discussion of this on here. Maybe I missed it?

That Arthur Pendragon has always struck me as a bit of a wacko and what he has to say here dosn't alter my views of him or of so called druidry generally.

i live in west shropshire in engand, in a place with a welsh name. people here have welsh names and share the physiclal charecteristics of the midwalians a mile or two away. yet they consider themselves to be english. and, of course they are. if there was ever a God, here would have been his country.
