Perhaps that's what I meant by an 'explanation beforehand'?
I think before you do it, the least you should do is write a very detalied reasoned statement of your reasons. As a freethinker I think there can be good reasons for 'ending it'.

As a father - I think the most important consideration with suicide is the impact on the family.
