Re: Brexit News For Brexiteers, please see the link
1) That the UK is a trading nation, and has been for centuries and would be very keen to enter such trade deals. Other countries have already expressed an interest, wishing to expand their economies too. Any why wouldn't they want to? Where is your evidence that they won't want to? (Touche!) oh NIc...

Re: Brexit News For Brexiteers, please see the link
The on-line odds of Italy leaving the EU have shortened.... the plans by this party seem to be to leave the euro, not the EU - which it wants reformed My post is still true. The on-line odds of Italy leaving the Euro have shortened too. Though it seems that they have back-tracked on plans to leave ...

Re: In or out?
We had a vote, but were consistently outvoted and dragged in the wrong direction, so our influence was negated. And we can certainly see that the EU has made spectacular mistakes as a matter of policy. The EU has so far failed to agree a trade deal with either China or India; I don't see trade deal...

Re: Unless Humanist uk values meets human needs, nobody give a shit
And it seems to be a quite important part of humanism, as we see it here with the campaigns of Alan and Maria, plus the scientific knowledge of Tetenterre, that doctrine is often a bad thing in principle: we should try to approach issues on an evidence-based, ie empirical basis, and be prepared to ...

Re: Brexit News For Brexiteers, please see the link
Only 3 things wrong with that: 1) Such a customs union would mean we wouldn't be able to conclude trade deals with anyone else, thus making it worse than being in the EU, as we would be unable to influence EU policy (not that has been exactly a strength...) 2) 1) Any Customs Union other than "The" ...

Nick: "..it seems [Trump] has had rather more success than anyone expected." What "success" has he "had"? I'm not claiming his success is complete. It may still unravel. And yes, I'm nervous it might. But for whatever reason, it seems things are different in North Korea. Of course, there may be oth...

Sorry I don't have time to keep abreast of (much less contribute much to) this discussion. I'm still in favour of Remain too, by the way. It will be interesting to see how the EU and UK respond to the possible imposition of sanctions on UK companies if John Bolton and Trump seriously threaten them ...

second meeting of the East Grinstead U3A Brexit group. I think we are now pretty well all Remainers, even those who voted Leave. We are mystified and appalled at what is going on. obviously the reports may have been written up tendentiously, but still, they are reports from the horse's mouth, so to speak, not speculation on the part of the paper. Not really. It is claiming that regulation will have catastrophic effects, while ignoring the fact that such effects do not affect...

As it's you asking... :) Leaving aside speculation and special pleading, as well as blatant bias and from the Graun, there are several several.
