Slow news day?

#1 Post by Alan H » July 25th, 2013, 5:21 pm

I'll start with this: Is this the biggest chip in Gloucestershire?

Can anyone top that?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

The Citizen is a waste of paper and energy anyway! This paper has an abysmal reputation in reporting accuracy.

From personal experience I do my best not to be involved with them any longer.

The Torygraph yesterday revealed news of a kettle (a snip at around £100...) which you can turn on via an app.

Surprisingly, they also reported that the sales of kettles had declined since 2007, from 8.1 million to 7.5 million a year! Good grief! What are people doing to their kettles that they need replacing so often?

Have noticed that many of these new plastic jug kettles have a limited life. Of my last two one leaked after 18 months and the other turned from white to a dingy yellow colour after two years in the kitchen environment (and I don't do a lot of frying or baking) and I never managed to get it clean. Current one stainless steel, hope it lasts longer!

I once read in the Guernsey gazette that a loo roll had been set on fire in a local car park at night lol.

Dumbarton woman starts a job with Costa

It seems Dumbarton is a hotbed of crime: Ford Mondeo was stolen from Dumbarton street

And if that wasn't bad enough...
