Thanks, Jaywhat!

Should we be out washing our feet in the dew or something? :laughter:

Certainly it is windy here but I hadn't thought about it being the equinox.

Right!, I'm off to Stonehenge to flagellate myself with a Hawthorn bush.

Happy Equinox!

Mind you, they could've picked a better to have it. Bit blustery everywhere today.

Mother nature must think it's today, going by the storm force gale we're having, I nearly had a car door torn off earlier.
I wonder why it is, we always get the worst gales at the equinoxes?

A few days either side makes very little difference to the time the sun rises and sets!

Equinox again? How time flies! It is a misty morning but looks promising.

Apparently it's not till 11:44 today. But it's a great day here as well! Temperature 13.5 degrees and climbing.

I like the site you point to and especially the naming of the equinoxes as March and September rather than vernal and autumnal because, of course, these only refer to one hemisphere at a time.

Yes, a lovely feeling! All the bus drivers in Huddersfield were shouting greetings to each other out of their open windows, and some of the students were wearing shorts!

It will be snowing next week, mark my words!

check out Jupiter which is in close proximity to the moon at present. Go outside at 23.45 with bins. If you have a telescope it will be even better. Last chance for about 55 years to see it so close to the earth.
