Spiritualism and Sir Oliver Lodge

as a member of the local U3A philosophy group, I am involved in a study of psychical research. The physicist, Sir Oliver Lodge, wrote a book called "Raymond or Life and Death" which details a large number of seances and other spiritualist practices aimed at communicating with his son Raymond, who was killed in action in 1914. The book does have some "evidential" accounts, and I thought you might be interested in looking at this scientist's attempt to approach the supernormal in a properly scientific way.
