There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

The Cornish beaches where Lego keeps washing up
A container filled with millions of Lego pieces fell into the sea off Cornwall in 1997. But instead of remaining at the bottom of the ocean, they are still washing up on Cornish beaches today - offering an insight into the mysterious world of oceans and tides.

I reckon they are 4.2 km, 2.6 miles away. Watch out for the shock wave as it spreads out through the clouds just after you see the explosion.

How did you arrive at such a precise estimate of their distance, Alan?

I timed from when we see the explosion to hearing it. Same as for thunder and lightning. Just measured it again at 12.76 seconds; sound travels at 340 m/s, so 4.3 km or 2.7 miles. (I think I used 330 m/s last night...)

Just goes to show that kids, of any species, enjoy playing and investigating as part of their learning about the world.
