Did you see this petition by the Coalition For Marriage? Is there a counter petition FOR redefining marriage?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

I was disappointed to see that the elite signatories included Brenda Almond of the Philosophical Society of England. Any philosophical effort should at least be honest on its definitions, and this petition is not. "Marriage" as everyone knows, is a word used very widely in all sorts of context to indicate "joining", and nothing more. Apart from this, marriage in history has often NOT been one man one woman, but polygamous and certainly not a lot to do with love or commitment - which gay marriage indisputably is. I'll try and dig out an Indie article which argued that Anglicans should be glad of gay marriage, not hostile to it.
